Hey there, I'm James (they/them).

Me in my office! (I had a cold...)

queer

I am nonbinary and trans. I generally use they/them pronouns.

work

I received a BS in Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon from 2019-2023. I then entered the doctoral program at Carnegie Mellon, researching interactive and automated theorem proving; I left the doctoral program with an MS in 2025. Much of my time at Carnegie Mellon was spent teaching in some capacity, which I found to be deeply fulfilling and exciting work. I am now pursuing a career in education.

labor unions

All people deserve the dignity of being organized in a labor union. Labor organizing was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I strongly recommend becoming involved in your union, or starting a labor union if your workplace is not yet organized. For people working in the US, the Emergency Workplace Organizing Committee (EWOC) has people and resources to help you and your coworkers start a union. Solidarity!
